The U.S. Postal Service has announced a temporary price increase on select package services, effective October 5, 2025 through January 18, 2026.  This adjustment is designed to offset the extra handling costs during peak shipping months and align USPS pricing with competitive market practices. To make sure your holiday shipments arrive in time for Christmas, the USPS recommends<https://news.usps.com/2025/09/17/heres-when-to-send-your-holiday-mail-and-packages/> shipping parcels by mid December.

 

### What Prices are Being Affected?

Both retail and commercial customers will see increases based on package weight and shipping zones. The changes are as follows:

**Retail:**  
**Priority Mail and USPS Ground Advantage**: **Zone 1-4**

**Priority Mail Zone 5-9**

**Priority Mail Flat Rate**

**USPS Ground Advantage Zone 5-9**

**Priority Mail Express**

**Priority Mail Express Flat Rate**

**Commercial:**  
**Priority Mail and USPS Ground Advantage**: **Zone 1-4, and Parcel Select (all entries)**

**Priority Mail Zone 5-9**

**Priority Mail Flat Rate**

**USPS Ground Advantage Zone 5-9**

**Priority Mail Express**:

**Priority Mail Express Flat Rate**

Commercial customers will see slightly lower increases, but the impact on high-volume shippers could still be significant.
