In open environments, cheque base-stock can be kept in locked trays. TROY MICR Printers also include other security features to prevent unauthorized use and access. The 3-Position key-lock allows managers to control MICR print jobs or even block all unauthorized printing. TROY printers also have the ExPT feature which enables precision placement of the MICR line to ensure reliable bank clearing. Further, signatures and logos are stored as secure printer-resident resources; only accessible when MICR is activated. MICR toner sensing detects presence of MICR toner and prevents cheques from printing without MICR toner. TROY MICR printers also override standard HP features to eliminate the risk of duplicate
cheque printing.
